Tell us something about yourself in short words
My name is Giesa Panpan, I lead the department of ministerial services in the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Papua New Guinea (ELCPNG). I was a former college lecturer before becoming a pastor. My focus and interest in my line of work include solving problems within ministerial institutions of ELC-PNG
The SolSol project is ready to start now. What do you expect the project will achieve in the next few years?
I expect SolSol project to be fully functional in the next few years without hindrance and obstacles from both outside and within the church.
What made you join the SolSol project team?
I joined SolSol project because it is important that department heads take the lead. I also see it as an opportunity to create awareness on the project within church institutions.
What do you see as your contribution to the project?
My contribution to the project include providing proper advice on SolSol towards the church executives and institutions and to be a good team player within the SolSol steering committee.
What is the most surprising thing you learnt during your time at the SolSol project?
The most surprising thing I’ve learnt was how many people within the project group volunteered and sacrificed their time and expertise to get the project up and running. Also the work strategies employed by the project group was a new learning experience.
In your daily life, what are the three most important to keep on power with solar?
Lights, Phone & water kettle/stove
