Meet … Bonnie Keoka

My name is Bonnie Keoka and I am a 53 years old Papua New Guinean. I spent over 28 years working with people and farmers in many rural areas of Papua New Guinea (PNG). I am the Head of the Development Service Division of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Papua New Guinea (PNG). I am so glad to be a member of the SolSol Steering Committee.

I wish to see that all off-grid hospitals, schools and seminaries can independently access electricity on a reliable stand-alone SolSol PV station.

I want to share my passion to include as many people as possible to be part of and to experience the benefit of the Solsol project.

My contribution to the project is to ensure that the purpose of the Solsol project is clear and it willingly establishes itself into the ELCPNG management structure by effectively communicating to various relevant people and presenting results in meetings.

The people in rural areas desperately need the SolSol project. However, the biggest factor that is hindering the growth and development of the project to reach the people is the lack of a structural and policy framework. That is the bottleneck for effective flow of project resources in reaching the people.
